Good Vibrations was started in 2002 by Rob and Lisa Freedline after our own wedding reception disaster.  Our DJ was every horror story you've ever heard about a DJ rolled into one guy.  He wore brown corduroy pants with a dressy flannel shirt.  His sound system was a pair of home theatre bookshelf speakers with a Sony Discman for a CD player that skipped constantly.  He introduced my divorced parents as Mr. & Mrs. Freedline, and by the end of the night, was calling my wife’s mother "stupid" over the microphone.  We had booked the hall until 11pm, but by 9pm everyone but my wife and I and our parents had gone home.
